House of Wisdom Publishing

House of Wisdom Publishing

a done-for-you service that takes your book from English manuscript to a version of it that’s translated to Arabic, and published and promoted in the Arab world

<div class="arrowRow1"></div>

You’re a self-published author who wants their book to go multilingual while retaining control over the process.

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”18″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif”]You chose the self-publishing path because of your role in the process. You want to be in control of how your book is perceived instead of following what the publishing house dictates. You have big aspirations, including getting your book translated, but you don’t know how to do that without selling the rights to it.[/text_block]
[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”18″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_style=”bold” font_color=”%23D2A836″]Have you ever wondered if it would be possible to:[/text_block]
  • Translate your book into another language the same way you wrote it: independently?
  • Publish your book and distribute it in countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Algeria, and Lebanon?
  • Promote your translated book to Arabic-speaking readers without having to learn a single word of Arabic?
  • Do book signings and attend book fairs in countries where you don’t speak the language?
  • Gain authority status in your niche with people who primarily communicate in a language other than English?

Say goodbye to selling the foreign rights to your books so that you can get them translated.

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”18″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]Picture this: you’re sitting at a table with physical copies of your book in front of you, and a line of abaya-clad women and dishdasha-donning men are waiting to get their books signed. “Shukran, shukran,” they mutter, thanking you, as you sign the books, with your beautifully scripted English signature right under the big bold Arabic title of your book. “Afwan,” you respond, barely understanding the rest of their words.

Someone asks you a question, which the translator to your right promptly translates into English for you. You answer while you sip a cup of the Arabic coffee, taking in the strange, exciting sights around you.

It’s an adventure.[/text_block]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”18″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]I’m Bouchra Rebiai, and I’m the Chief Wordsmith at Aurora Hikma. I’ve been translating since a very young age – for family and friends – and only a couple of years ago did I embrace translation as my career!

Since then, I also took up digital marketing, and I specialize in helping businesses connect with Arabic speakers. I also am passionate about books and transmitting knowledge and entertainment through translation, which is why I created …[/text_block]

House of Wisdom Publishing

The ultimate book launch package that makes self-publishing in a language you don’t know hassle-free.

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”18″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]After talking to several self-published authors, I decided to create this package that takes your book from an English manuscript to a fully translated Arabic version that is also published and promoted across the Arab World.

This isn’t your typical book launch package, not only because it is in a language that you don’t speak fluently, but also because despite that, it’s hassle-free. You won’t be doing much except giving us input and feedback while we take care of everything. Heck, even the progress reports that we send you will include full translations of the social media content that is doing well![/text_block]

  • Happiness Guarantee

We’re so sure you’ll love the House of Wisdom Publishing service that we guarantee you will be all *heart eyes* every time you receive an email with a progress report on the project!

The way our Happiness Guarantee works is that if you ever feel unhappy about our work, you can – and in fact should – email us at hello@aurorahikma.com to get it sorted out. If – and this is almost guaranteed to never happen – things don’t work out and you’re still unhappy, we’re happy to refund 75% of the fees you have paid for services that we haven’t started working on.

Unfortunately we cannot refund fees towards services already rendered, and we do not refund the costs of printed books or social media advertising that has been spent.

If you’re not sure that you’re ready to get started with translating your book, then it might not be the right time for you to invest in the House of Wisdom Publishing. However, if you do know that you want to go multilingual with your author platform this year, we know that we can help you do that.

You’re determined to spread the message your book contains, and this Service is going to help you start generating revenue while impacting the lives of Arabic-speaking readers!

This package is perfect for self-published authors with high ambitions and a vision to impact readers worldwide, regardless of the language they speak.

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”18″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]Wondering if your book will be a good fit for this package?

We work with all types of books, ranging from self-help to creative non-fiction to contemporary fiction to science fiction and fantasy. All we ask is that your book be:[/text_block]

  • Free of graphic elements that are integral to the storyline, and thus cannot be edited or toned down whatsoever (all 18+ content is censored in the Arab world)
  • Well-written, with good style and a consistent tone
  • Self-published, so we know that you own the foreign rights to your book
  • Filled with value and engaging content if its non-fiction, or an amazing storyline if it’s fiction or creative non-fiction

What if you could actually be making money from the  Arabic translation of your book by this time next year?

Fatma Bahwan,

Some of the things that I really appreciated are the quick responses every time we reach out, and the considerations Bouchra gave us at the beginning of our relationship due to our company being a startup: offering a lower rate in favor of establishing a long-term relationship. Also, the translation was perfect and any alterations needed were accommodated!

What I never expected was being able to trust someone I never met with my entire business plans, but the treatment received from Aurora Hikma was very comforting and assuring and that is the number one factor why I’d always want to work with them. I’m already working on 2 other projects with other friends and we have Aurora Hikma in the front lines for both projects!

FAQs

Why the Arabic-speaking market? Do you have some statistics I can refer to?

+

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

What books do you work with?

+

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

Do you select the books you translate? What are the criteria for my book to be selected?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”undefined” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid Serif” font_color=”#161b22″]Absolutely! No book will go on this journey before our Co-Founder, Bouchra Rebiai, takes the time to read it and do some pre-research on how the book will perform in the Arab world.

The criteria are simple: the book must be well-written, shouldn’t contain graphic elements that cannot be omitted from the storyline (books with 18+ content are heavily censored), and can be anything from non-fiction, personal development books to science fiction and spy novels.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

What is the schedule and the delivery formats?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]Here at Aurora Hikma, we believe that each book is unique and therefore deserves special attention.

This is why we don’t have one fixed schedule that all books will follow while going through the House of Wisdom Publishing Process. However, depending on the length of your book and the complexity of the subject matter, you can expect the Arabic translation to launch any time from 6 months to a year from the day you sign on the dotted line with us.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

Can I design my own package? What if I choose to omit some services, and purchase them later?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid Serif” font_color=”#161b22″]Absolutely! Let us know if you’re interested in having a social media package with a lower volume, or if you don’t want to do public relations (even though we don’t recommend this, because we want to help your book succeed in the best way possible, and this package is designed for that).

If you choose to omit a service, and then later decide that you want to tack it on, there will be a price difference. You will be required to purchase the service individually, rather than as part of this bundled package.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

I see the social media management and public relations services are just for 3 months, what if I want you to continue supporting me?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]We’ll be happy to do so! We’ll discuss your options once we get closer towards the end of the in-package support period.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

I have an unpublished English manuscript and would like to launch the Arabic and English versions together. Is that possible?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]Definitely! As long as the English manuscript that you submit to us is the final version that a professional editor has gone over with a fine-toothed comb, we’re happy to help you get it translated so you can have a bilingual launch![/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

Why should I choose you over an established publishing house?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid%20Serif” font_color=”%23161b22″]Because publishing houses are simply going to buy the foreign rights to your books, and then you will have no say in how the translation and launch are conducted.

Also, publishing houses in the Arab world don’t do sufficient amounts of marketing unless if the author is a well-known authority figure, and it is almost unheard of for the marketing to be done through the author’s platform so that they can maintain contact with their Arabic-speaking readers and fans.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

Who does the translation?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid Serif” font_color=”#161b22″]Our Chief Wordsmith, Bouchra Rebiai, is responsible for making decisions regarding translation and editing of your book. She will personally conduct either the translation or editing parts of this process, and the part that she doesn’t do will be delegated to a team member with the required linguistic capabilities.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]

[op_liveeditor_elements][/op_liveeditor_elements]

I have some questions that aren’t addressed here. How can you answer them?

+

[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”15″ font_font=”Droid Serif” font_color=”#161b22″]We’re happy to answer any questions you might have about this package. Please email us at hello@aurorahikma.com to get in touch.

All we ask you is to refrain from using the words “I know this is silly/dumb, but I have a question about X” … here at Aurora Hikma we have a policy of “No Question is a Dumb Question”.[/text_block][/op_liveeditor_element]
