About Our Company
Aurora Sky Aurora is derived from the ethereal phenomenon of natural lights called "Aurora Borealis", which displays ribbons of colorful lights across skies close to the North and South Poles.

Hikma is Arabic for ‘wisdom’; to spread philosophy, rationale, and information that crosses linguistic boundaries.

Aurora Hikma signifies the agency's extraordinary potential to spread wisdom across the globe in "ribbons" of informative content that it creates for its clients, whether in English, Arabic, or more.
Founder Since 2016

Aurora Hikma is rooted in and inspired by our founder’s personal experiences. As a bilingual native speaker of Arabic and English, Bouchra has family members who exclusively speak specific Arabic dialects. In the past, she has struggled with sharing evidence-based sources of information with them simply because they don’t exist in Modern Standard Arabic, or all its various dialects used across the GCC. Motivated by this gap, she began her journey as a translator, drawing from her own life experiences.

Starting as a freelance online translator, Bouchra quickly expanded her skill set, gaining expertise in social media management, website curation, and public relations. She soon realized that in the business world, especially in internationalized regions like the GCC, Arabic-speaking clients were being overlooked, leaving a huge gap in the market.

Businesses needed to tap into this market and develop communication that was tailored to clients of all types and sizes. Frustrated by the lack of high-quality digital Arabic content, Bouchra channelled her skills and passion into founding Aurora Hikma, which has continued to reach industries far and wide, connecting people of all nationalities.

An Egyptian wordsmith and editor, Aya, draws strength from the mantra 'It never gets easier. You just get stronger.'

In the realm of translations, her wit shines brightest when unraveling the mysteries of machine-translated mishaps, like turning a simple Eid greeting into an unintentional comedic masterpiece like “Every year and your attendees are fine!” for "كلعاموحضراتكمبخير".

Fluent in the art of Arabic translation, she harbors a passion for mastering French, a journey rooted in past studies.

Her creativity thrives amidst the pages she devours. A curious twist: she shares a playful bond with a niece three years her senior.

As a junior Arabic translator from Algeria, Asma, embodies the motto:

'To become a master at any skill, it takes the total effort of your: heart, mind, and soul working together in tandem.'

Asma employs creativity in finding accurate translations for UAE and Egyptian clients that often lead to amusing exchanges for unique cultural expressions and idioms in Arabic.

Amidst juggling work tasks, Asma is a force of nature as she wields her skills while balancing her baby in one arm as her elder playfully tugs at her hair—a charming chaos indeed.

Her love for Spanish series, movies, and music, inspires her to one day master the foreign language,

A translator hailing from Algeria and Spain, Zaynab, patiently lives by the creed 'Where there is a will, there is a way.'

Known for crafting translations that breathe life into company names, she sparks creativity by shifting perspectives and blending ideas.

In a memorable mistranslation, she once playfully dubbed an astronaut as a 'فضائي,' inadvertently suggesting they were an alien—a cosmic mix-up that still brings laughter.

Her longing for French fluency reflects Algeria's rich cultural tapestry.

As a proud Dubai Kid, Mabel finds excitement in crafting unique names for buildings gracing the city’s skyline.

Creativity blossoms in her alone time, yet she cherishes moments with friends, baking, reading, swimming, gaming, and the regular bed-rotting (scientifically proven too).

Repetition of the word ‘Exciting’ in her work is the bane of Mabel’s existence. But her job is not without humor like in a proofreading assignment when ‘free wife’ was listed instead of ‘free wi-fi’ in a hotel amenity list, reminding us all of the delicate art of editing.

Mohaddesa is a third-culture Dubai kid hailing from the quaint streets of Mumbai. A storyteller at heart, whether through words, visuals, or whatever creative medium catches her eye. Since graduating in 2023, she has thrived on connecting with people to craft compelling narratives across client servicing, production, PR, journalism, content creation, and advertising. She lives by many mottos, but none more than Mary Oliver’s: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” When not shaping creative concepts, she’s lost in them—books, movies, or the ever-growing list of hobbies she collects like treasures. Even while unwinding with a matcha and a book, her instincts stay sharp. Because once you start spotting details, you can’t unsee them. She’ll catch a typo in a bestseller or spot the accidental cameraman in a movie scene. But perfection? Overrated. She lives for the raw, candid, and beautifully imperfect moments that make the best stories.
