Business development executive

Aurora Hikma is looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and self-driven business development executive to join our team part-time. You must have prior experience in a business development, sales, and/or marketing role at a service-based business in the UAE or the wider GCC region.

Our ideal candidate is energetic, well-spoken and fluent in English, and eager to close sales and increase revenue. You will be responsible for researching client business referrals, network, and web leads; providing prospective clients with all services offered and additional presentations as needed; working with clients to create solutions for their needs; consulting throughout the sales process, as well as communicating effectively with the management team to ensure deals are closed on time and clients’ needs are satisfied.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities

  • Building long-term business relationships with prospective clients

  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)

  • Collaborating with leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts

  • Creating informative presentations and proposals, as well as presenting and delivering information to potential clients at meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences

  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information

  • Making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process

  • Meeting all quotas for sales calls and meetings; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals

  • Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software

  • Collaborating with management on creating a growth strategy including sales goals, planning, and forecasting

  • Maintaining short- and long-term business development plans

  • Preparing sales contracts ensuring adherence to UAE legislation, rules, and guidelines, as well as any relevant company policies

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive, ambitious, and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-level executives
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Two or more years of experience in a business development, sales, or marketing role in a service-based business, or related sales experience
  • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Market knowledge
  • Must be based in Dubai, preferably with own car, to be able to meet with potential clients in-person
